No person, who does not possess a certificate of Competency as a Boiler Attendant, shall be deemed a fit and proper to hold charge of a boiler or boilers of total heating surfaces exceeding 1000sq. meters situated within a radius of 50 meters .
The State Government constitutes a Board of Examiners to conduct examination for the grant of Certificate of Competency as a Boiler Attendant under the provision of Boiler Attendant Rules,2011.
Flow Chart Boiler Attendant
i) Education Qualification: Atleast Matriculation or equivalent exam.
ii) Age: For Ist Class – not less than 20yrs of age and
For IInd class – not less than 18 Yrs.
iii) Experience: For Ist Class- 2 Years with IInd Class certificate of proficiency as Boiler Attendant and
for IInd Class- Atleast 2 years as Fireman/Operator/Pump man/Waterman/Assistant Fireman/Assistant
Operator on a Steam Boiler.
Payment is to be made into treasury under the Head of Account ““0230-Labour & Employment,103- Fees for Inspection of Steam Boilers” or Pay Online through Egrass portal www.assamegras.gov.in
