• Effective implementation of the provisions of the Boilers Act, 1923; Indian Boiler Regulations, 1950; Assam Boiler Rules, 1935; Assam Economizer Rules, 1956; Boiler Operation Rules,2021 and Boiler Attendant Rules, 2011.
• Providing guidance to boiler users to improve quality and working condition of boilers.
• Conducting investigation of accidents of boilers and boiler components and subsequent preparation of report/recommendations.
• Initiate legal proceedings due to violation of Acts and Rules.
• Searching of unregistered and un-certified boilers as per the provision of the statutory laws.
• To conduct periodical inspection to ensure safety of Boiler
• To conduct stage inspection of Boiler / Boiler components at the time of erection / repair /alteration and modification.
• Supervision of Remnant Life Assessment of Boilers.
Preventing accident/explosion of boilers and boiler components and thereby securing safety of human lives and properties in and around steam generating units.
